Conjure
con·jure | ˈkän-jər
1 : to charge or entreat earnestly or solemnly
2 : to summon by or as if by invocation or incantation
I use the word conjure specifically to honor my ancestral lineages of spiritualists, healers, and conjurers. The new world will come to fruition but not without intentional spelling, unspelling, conjuring, and cord cutting.
Embodied Operations
em·bod·ied | im-ˈbä-dē | op·er·a·tions | \ ˌä-pə-ˈrā-shəns
1 : to cause to become a body or part of a body
1 : performance of a practical work or of something involving the practical application of principles or processes
For far too long we’ve had to override the wisdom of our bodies in service to the bottom line. Embodied Operations is a tangible framework that helps us create, sustain, and participate in collective change and impact.
Post-capitalist
post·cap·i·tal·ist | pōst-ˈka-pə-tə-list
1 : existing or occurring after the decline or end of capitalism.
Every single morning I sit in my green chair and imagine a world beyond capitalism. With each passing day this dream becomes more real, more tangible, and more available. To me, saying or writing “post-capitalist” feels like a spell, like I’m calling that which is not as though it were (h/t the Bible and my churchy roots).
